A Book of Soulful Works by Creative Empaths
Jeannette Folan & Dr. Michael R. Smith are pleased to share that Creating Love - Book One has raised over $700 thus far for the One Spirit Lakota organization — and that Creating Love - Book Two is now on sale.
You can order copies and see the list of contributing artists on the main book page.

Dear friends,
We are excited to invite you once again to participate in a creation that will amplify our collective light, love and generosity of spirit while serving a valuable and beloved Lakota community.
The Creating Love book welcomes everyone from our empath communities — the artistic and not-so-artistic alike — to contribute an original creative work that will be compiled into a soft cover book. The content of the book is intended to reflect our individual and collective experiences — how empaths see and be in the world.
All proceeds from the sale of the Creating Love book will be donated to the One Spirit Lakota organization, a group that Dr. Michael Smith has supported for many years who provide food, education, and other life essentials to 40,000 Lakotas on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
We hope you will join in this opportunity to share and exchange your creative, divine light. All are encouraged to submit!
Jeannette & Michael

Here are answers to some questions you might have.
What if my work has already been published somewhere?
If your work was published on your own website, blog or social media site, that's cool. But if was published by someone else (an online blogger or print magazine, for example), we won't be able to accept it.
Does contributing my work to the Creating Love book mean I can't publish or sell it somewhere else?
No. You retain the individual copyrights to your creative work, which means you can donate, sell or publish it elsewhere as you please. That said, you should notify that person/organization that the work has already been published in the Creating Love book. This will ensure no one has creative or legal expectations that can't be met.
Can I submit more than one creative work?
Absolutely. You may submit as many pieces as you wish, however each one must be submitted with its own Creative Contribution Agreement form. Most likely, we will use one creative work per person.
Will you definitely use my creative work in the book?
It is possible your work would not be included in the book if:
> there are too many submissions for one book
> there are too many submissions that are alike
> also, we strive to balance the number of visual art pieces and written word submissions
> your work does not meet the guidelines displayed above
How much will the book sell for?
Most likely, the e-book will be listed for approximately $20.00 and sold via Jeannette Folan's website (Empath Diary) and Dr. Michael R. Smith's website (Empath Connection) with all proceeds donated to the One Spirit Lakota organization.
Who is the One Spirit Lakota organization?
One Spirit is a collective of Oglala Lakota who serve the people in the Pine Ridge Reservation community. One Spirit supports the Lakota community by providing resources that allow them to meet the needs of their people according to their own culture, traditions and values. They are a top rated non-profit organization. Dr. Michael Smith has supported this organization for many years and we hope that as a contributor to the Creating Love book, you will feel even more deeply the One Spirit of us all.
